Liquid Latex
Latex Rubber is a versatile and easy to use material. It is primarily used for self-releasing flexible moulds for detailed castings in polyester resin, plaster and other cold cure materials as well as prosthetics.
It comes as a white liquid that can be poured or brushed on which air vulcanises to a light amber colour. This forms a very tough, blanket mould with great elasticity. Latex has a better tear strength than all synthetic rubbers. It can also be pigmented or thickened using additives.
